By using run commands on Windows (Windows+R key) gives the impression that you are an ultimate computer user.Also most important one is simplicity and practicality.Some of these run commands are listed below:
winver:this command opens a small window that contains information about Windows version and Licence.It will be useful and pratical way.
netplwiz:You can access to user accounts ,so you have add/remove options for user accounts.
calc:As you guess ,this is windows standart calculator.I usually use this calculator,while i am working on my computer.
compmgmt.msc:You can have control on Computer Management;System Tools,Storage,Services and Applications...
devmgmt.msc:Device Manager window is opened by this command.You can add/remove hardware to your system.
desk.cpl:This command is for your computer's Display Settings.If you want to change the appearance;display,resolution and orientation,use this run command.
downloads:
When i download an image,document,page,program etc... ,i sometimes spend time to find the downloads folder.By this command ,it is simple anymore.
firewall.cpl:This command is being used for accessing to Windows Firewall ,which is an internet gateway service limits to connect a system on the internet.
cmd:Use CMD for batch programming and running commands on MS-DOS.
Accessing To Programs With Exe Files:
By typing programms .exe(executable) file names to without file extensions provides to run the programms .

Ncpa.cpl:You will see Local Network Connection.Sometimes a problem occurs on the Local Network ,so your computer can not connect to any pages on the internet.And there is a sign as yellow exclamation mark on the LAN symbol ( bottom right on the screen).I click right on the Local Network Connection and select Diagnose from the menu.Connection is renewed.Usually my internet problem is solved by using this technique...

wscui.cpl:Opens the Security Center to manage security settings.Firewall,updates,virus protection are basic security essentials.
msinfo32:You can get access to System Informatin window which includes hardware resources,components,software environment.
taskschd.msc:For Task Schulder management ,you can use this command.
msconfig:This command manages Boot,Services,Startup,Tools configuration for Windows Operating System
